Are you looking for affordable dental care in Whitby, Ontario? Coryma Dental is proud to announce that we are now accepting patients through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) — a groundbreaking federal program designed to make essential dental services accessible to more Canadians.

What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

The CDCP is a federal initiative that helps eligible Canadians cover the cost of essential dental services. This includes routine and advanced care such as:

  • Dental exams and cleanings

  • Fillings and root canals*

  • Crowns and dentures*

  • X-rays and oral surgery*

* requires preauthorization

This plan is especially helpful for individuals and families who do not currently have private dental insurance.

Who Qualifies for the CDCP?

To be eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, you must:

  • Have no existing dental insurance

  • Have a family net income of less than $90,000

  • Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes and have filed your income taxes for the previous year 

You and your spouse/common-law-partner (if applicable) must have filed your tax returns in Canada so that your family income can be assessed for the previous year

How to Apply for and Renew your CDCP coverage

Applying for the Canadian Dental Care Plan is quick and simple. Just visit Canada.ca/dental to check your eligibility and submit your application online. Once you’re approved, schedule your appointment with Coryma Dental — we’ll make sure you get the care you deserve. 

Renewing your coverage follows the same easy steps to keep your benefits active.

Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) members must renew their applications to the CDCP every year to avoid a gap in coverage.

If you missed the renewal deadline and your coverage ended on June 30, 2025, you can still submit a renewal application. There will be a gap in your coverage until it is reinstated. Oral health care services received during this gap will not be covered nor reimbursed.
